This Is me
I am a wolf
I roam wild and free
Listen for me at night
You may hear me
As I howl at the moon
Shining so bright
I walk for miles
As I roam free
Where few men dare
To roam
Out here
Is where I call
My home
Roaming the country side
With my bright yellow eyes
Is all that you can see
If by chance
You get close enough
To me
I have known hunger
When no food can I find
My ribs protruding
Sticking out of my sides
I have seen cubs die
Just starved to death
Searching for food
And none to be found
When a cub dies
You will hear me howl
I’ve face many dangers
As I roam around
I try and walk softly
Trying not to make
A sound
You may hear me
As I stand on the hill
And let loose of a mournful cry
Searching for food
And none can I find
Man and I
Don’t always get along
Seems he is trying
To take away
My home
I am the leader of the pack
Strong, proud, and true
It is not my intention
To ever harm you
I am just roaming around
This countryside
Trying my best
Just to survive
