Remembering Moments of Passion

She still remembers each moment of passion
days of wine and roses, kisses, and silk sheets
lighted candles, moon light walks and such
when romance was every day treats

Words of love brightened each new day
sparks of ecstasy enlightened their dreams
hopes for the future urged them onward
each day getting better or so it seems

Time passed swiftly, age soon took it's toll
moments of passion now a thing of the past
keeping up with the bills and the pills
doctor's appointments now are vast

They lay in bed together side by side
he holds onto her soft loving hand
they drift off to sleep together with a smile
visiting their own private dream land

In night visions they hope to see
themselves as they used to be
when a wonderful moment of passion
was for them so heavenly
