VALUE OF A POEM

I have, ''Treasures of the Heart.''
I lay them up in Heaven
where they will always be a part.

I may not receive a dime
For any line I rhyme.
I can enter a contest,
My poem may not be the best.

After all is said and done,
If I have encouraged just one,
I will receive real treasure.
I can say it was a pleasure.

What can money buy after death?
Can it purchase any more breath?
What purpose in life did I live?
What value of life did I give?

To those I love, what did I leave behind?
Did I give them love and the way to be kind?
Did I give them hope in what I believe?
Does death have to be a time to grieve?

Death is the beginning of Life Eternal.
In God`s presence we`ll live supernal.
