Like The Letters Now

I would like to know
just how much you thought of me
while you were trying to forget my existence
or the fact that I loved you with my wrists turned upwards
just to prove that you helped to make it better.
I laid out willing words and a willing heart,
and you burnt both.
well am I like my letters to you or what?
first I burn,
(you had me set on fire)
crumble,
(and you broke me, too.)
fade,
(you're forgetting me now...)
and float away,
(the miles won't change anything that drastic.)
taken up by these swift breezes
and the night sky.
(I'm not gone yet.)
am I like the letters now?
